Many companies use Google AdWords. As a result, it is becoming increasingly difficult to stand out among the advertisements. Below, I describe 5 tips for writing the right advertisement.
1. Suitable content
Ensure that your advertisement matches the page it links to. When you advertise on 'black bicycles', the visitor should not be shown 'red bicycles'.
2. Highlight your USPs
Your USPs (Unique Selling Points) are naturally also an important factor, as they set you apart from the competition. Highlight these so that the visitor sees why they should choose you!
3. Entice the searcher to click through
With catchy copy in your advertisement, you entice searchers to click through to your website. On the site, the visitor will naturally read more information about your product or service.
Another way is to add a deadline to a specific action.
4. Make smart use of the URL
In AdWords, you have the option to provide a visible URL. This URL is displayed in the advertisement. The URL contained therein is the URL the advertisement links to. Therefore, if you want to advertise specifically for a keyword, provide a URL that includes the keyword.
5. Make good use of the search terms
The goal of the campaign is, of course, to reach the right visitors and thereby generate more conversions. Therefore, it is important that you use search terms that people are actually searching for!
