You want your store to be findable online; after all, people need to be able to visit your website to buy something or request a quote. But wouldn't it be even better to be findable online and, in doing so, also increase the number of visitors to your store? The chance that visitors will come to your store within a radius of less than a kilometer is naturally greater than if someone has to travel a long distance. The trick is to be easily found online, but also locally. After all, you can personally entice a visitor in the store to make a purchase or help them better and introduce them to excellent service. That is why I am sharing a few simple tips here to help you make your store a bit more findable locally.
Google my business
Create a “Google My Business” (https://www.google.com /my company)This is a Google+ page for your business. In this way, you inform Google in which region your business operates. Business information is also displayed in search results, such as on Google Maps. Think of information like contact details, logo, opening hours, and a description of the company. When your business receives a review on its business page, this is also displayed in the search results, allowing you to immediately build trust with potential visitors.
Social Media
Make your company visible on the internet. Think of word-of-mouth advertising. With social media, we now have a medium at our disposal to reach large groups of people. When you are visible as a company on social media and proactively take care of your customer service, this will lead to more visitors and good reviews. And more visitors result in greater brand awareness and more value in Google.
Link Building
Ensure there are links pointing to your website. Discuss this with fellow entrepreneurs in the region, or with partners and suppliers. Ask if they would be willing to place a link from their website to yours, and do the same for them.
